Looking forward to a Christian Christmas

The Hope Of Christmas

The celebration of the Christmas story, the angel announcement, the journey to Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus, the appearance of the star, the magi’s arrival, the terrible acts of Herod, the escape to Egypt,… all these parts of the story inspire hope.

Like lighting the candles in the dark evenings of winter, the hope of Christ’s coming shines out into the atmosphere of an ever darker world.

The violence that seems to gain force presses in, but the light of hope resists it.

Hope pushes back and creates room for the human spirit to thrive, and this is why Jesus came,

John 10:10
”The thief cometh not but to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Don’t let the darkness steal your hope. Use the candles of your hope in Jesus to continue to shine with the message of light.
